Frequently asked questions

It depends on the content. PDFs with large photos often shrink dramatically; text-only or already-optimized PDFs may shrink very little. We always show you the real before-and-after sizes.

Some PDFs are already well optimized, or contain mostly text and vector graphics, which barely compress. In that case we tell you honestly and return the original file.

Low compression keeps quality essentially identical. Higher levels re-encode images more aggressively, which can slightly soften photos. Text remains sharp at every level.

Uploads are limited to 15 MB per PDF.

Your PDF is processed in memory on our server and the result is deleted as soon as you download it. We do not keep or share your documents.
